Kendra – A Celebration of Work by Contemporary Indo-American Artists

You are invited to submit your artwork to "Kendra," a celebration of work by contemporary Indo-American artists at The Center for Contemporary Art in Bedminster, NJ. The exhibition's title, "Kendra," comes from the British/Celtic word for "Knowing" and Sanskrit word for "Center." Curated by visual artist Shourabh Mukherji, the exhibition will embody these definitions as a focal point for wisdom and knowing. All invited artists will be included in the exhibition, which will be on display from September 30 - December 8, 2023, featuring a reception/party/cultural event with dance and music on September 30.

Artwork specifications: Entry must be original artwork, wired/ready to install. Maximum size permitted is 36" wide X 7 feet high. 3D pieces may not exceed 18" x 18" x 18" high or weigh more than 25 lbs. Artwork that does not meet these requirements will not be accepted. Accepted work cannot be substituted and must be available for the duration of the exhibition.

Submit up to three JPEG/JPG digital images (1200 pixels or greater on the longest side, 5 MB maximum). Video submissions are also accepted (MOV, MP4, WMV, 3GP, AVI, ASF, MPG, M2T, MKV, M2TS formats, under 100 MB). Artwork may be hand-delivered to and picked up from The Center for Contemporary Art on appropriate dates during office hours, or shipped via USPS, UPS, or FedEx (artist responsible for shipping costs). A return shipping label and return postage must be included with shipped artwork. All artwork is insured for its declared value from receipt through December 16, 2023 while on premises. The Center for Contemporary Art receives a 40% commission on all exhibition sales. Entrants must be 18 or older."
