Keller Sports Park Mural II

The City of Keller Public Arts Board and Park Board seek a digital artist to design eight unique outdoor murals for the Keller Sports Park south and west walls. The murals will be created from high resolution digital submittals and applied to brick walls through brick wrap. Each mural must cover 89 square feet and feature original designs with a sports nostalgia theme. The outdoor murals are part of the nearly $40 million Keller Sports Park renovation project, which will include new softball fields, youth baseball and multipurpose fields, baseball fields, a rodeo area, soccer and lacrosse fields, and a rugby field. The mural project is anticipated to begin in 2025.

Murals must be original designs appropriate for all ages. Content must not be vulgar, politically polarized, or contain profanity, offensive language or symbols. Designs must not include advertising, soliciting, or copyrighted materials. Digital art must be high resolution. The City of Keller will provide a 4"x6" plaque for each mural including the artwork title, artist name, and year of installation.

Eligible artists must reside in Texas. Applications may be submitted by a group of artists, though specific contractual obligations may apply. Submit 3-5 images of work samples. The artist will be paid $3,425 for the design of each mural, for a total of up to $27,400 for all eight murals. This payment is inclusive of all artist's fees. The selected artist shall receive one-half of the honorarium upon execution of contract, with the second half disbursed after the murals have been approved by the subcommittee.
