About This Call
Jurors: Delores Fortuna & Bill Farrell
Eligibility: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and reside in the United States. Entry fee is $30.00 for up to three works per artist. Artwork must have been completed within the last two years and reflect the theme of teabowls. Work must not exceed 9" in any direction and may not exceed $250 in value per piece. No detailed photos accepted. Submit entries via CaFé (www.CallForEntry.org) by 5:00 PM May 9, 2014.
Timeline: Notification of accepted artists will be sent by 6/9/14. Accepted artists must submit high resolution photos (300 dpi at 3" x 5") to KC Clay Guild by 6/17/14. Teabowls must be received by 8/1/14 at KC Clay Guild (200 West 74th St., Kansas City, MO). Opening reception is 8/29/14 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Thornhill Gallery at Avila University (11901 Wornall Rd., Kansas City, MO 64145). Show closes 9/19/14.
Shipping and insurance to and from KC Clay Guild are the artist's responsibility. Accepted artwork must be installation ready. All artwork must be for sale. Artists receive 60% of sale price; KC Clay Guild and Thornhill Gallery retain and split 40% commission. At least $1,300 in prize money and purchase awards will be distributed. Unsold artwork will be shipped back only if shipping labels or a $20.00 check are provided. Artwork left longer than 60 days post-show becomes property of KC Clay Guild.
