About This Call
Kayenta Arts Foundation hosts the 2026 Kayenta Native Arts Market, formerly known as Festival of the Americas. The event will feature traditional and contemporary Native American art, including jewelry, pottery, textiles, paintings, and sculptures from artists throughout the Southwest. The market takes place Friday, May 1st through Sunday, May 3rd at the Kayenta Art Village. Artists are required to attend all three days. Load-in begins May 1st at 9am, with check-in required by 2pm and complete setup by 4pm.
Accepted mediums include ceramics, drawing/pastels, fiber/textiles/batik/wearables, glass, graphics/printmaking, jewelry, leather, metalwork, mixed media, painting, photography, sculpture, and wood. This opportunity is exclusively for artists who are members of a federally recognized tribe, band, or similar entity. Non-native artists practicing native or indigenous art should not apply.
Booth fees are $175 for a regular 10' x 10' booth, $225 for a corner booth, $300 for a double booth (10' x 20'), and $350 for a double booth with corner. A $10 application fee is required with submission. Booth fees must be received by March 13th, 2026 to reserve your space. All booth fees are nonrefundable after March 20th, 2026. Artists will be notified of selection decisions by February 20th, 2026. A committee of Kayenta Arts Foundation staff, board members, advisors, and members of local tribal communities will select participating booths based on submitted photographs. All work exhibited must be original artwork produced by the artist. Limited edition prints are permitted (limit 250), signed and numbered by the artist. Each exhibitor shall exhibit one medium with complimentary items related to that medium. Artists are solely responsible for constructing and tearing down their exhibits, providing all equipment including a white canopy, and securing booth contents. Heavy weights of at least 50 lbs per corner are mandatory. Artists must obtain their own insurance and are responsible for submitting sales tax to the Utah State Tax Commission. For questions, contact the Box Office at 435.674.2787.
