Kansas City Artists Coalition Snap Space Proposals 2020

The Kansas City Artists Coalition invites proposals for exhibitions in the Snap Space Gallery. Only artists ages 18-35 are eligible. Exhibitions are scheduled between June and December 2020, with each show running for 3 weeks.

Submit 10-20 images of original work completed in the last two years and not previously shown in KCAC's galleries, along with an artist's statement and CV or resume. Optional materials include links to websites, PDFs of reviews, catalogs, show announcements, and videos. All media is eligible. Work requiring special installation, including large or heavy works, will be accepted only if the artist is available to install the work. Video artists should submit video stills and provide links to videos online. KCAC has two monitors (42" and 32") available; otherwise artists must provide projectors for video installations.

The Snap Space Gallery is 59 square feet with a 12-foot ceiling height, 43 feet of linear hanging space, suspended lighting 11 feet from the floor, and cement floors. The door entry size is 81 x 60 inches. Exhibitors are encouraged to facilitate workshops, demonstrations, talks, or panels throughout the exhibition. KCAC carries fine art insurance but artists must insure their work to and from the gallery. KCAC takes a 30% commission on works sold. KCAC will award solo, two-person, or group exhibits, and artists will be notified when decisions are made.
