Kansas City Artists Coalition Proposals for Exhibitions & the International Residency

Kansas City Artists Coalition (KCAC) produces exhibitions in three galleries and programs special events in the Project Room. Artists may be selected for solo, two-person, or group exhibits. All media is accepted. Work must have been completed in the past two years. Open to all artists, with a special interest in artists from the Plains/Midwest. Women and artists of color are encouraged to apply.

The Mallin Gallery is a loft-type gallery with 1,420 square feet, 12-foot ceiling height, and 109 feet of linear hanging space. The Jacqueline B. Charno Gallery has 690 square feet, 12-foot ceiling height, and 88 feet of linear hanging space. The Underground Gallery is a members-only space with 140 feet of linear hanging space and 102-inch ceiling height. The Project Room has 560 square feet, 12-foot ceiling height, and 54 feet of linear hanging space with A/V available.

Submit 10-20 digital images, artist statement, CV or resume, exhibition proposal, and optional support materials (PDFs of reviews, catalogs, etc.) and inventory sheet. Artists will be notified after the first of the year. KCAC carries fine art insurance, but artists must insure their work to and from the gallery. KCAC takes a commission on works sold. Please indicate any scheduling conflicts in your proposal. The Underground Gallery is only available to KCAC members. Entry deadline: October 18, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. MDT.
