About This Call
Kahilu Exhibits, located in the galleries at Kahilu Theatre on Hawai'i Island, is accepting applications for the 2022 Exhibition Season (January-December 2022). The exhibition program features local and global works of art from both emerging and established visual artists. Accepted proposals will be considered from individuals, artist groups, and curators of exhibitions.
Applicants must submit 10-15 total work samples, which may include 10-15 images, up to 5 audio files, and up to 5 video files. The entry fee is $30.00. The Exhibition Committee selects artists, artist groups, and/or curators via a proposal-and-review process once a year. Applications submitted will remain on file for two years, and those not chosen for an exhibit will be considered for any additional opportunities that occur during that or the subsequent season.
Educational outreach includes school visits, artist talks, workshops, and publications that encourage the visual arts to be a catalyst for creativity and growth. The opportunity is open to international applicants.
