Just Sayin'

Art on 30th and Kate Ashton Gallery invite local and national artists to submit original works of art for the 2015 exhibit "Just Sayin'." This national show honors the relationship between words and images. Any works of art that encompass literacy—words, text, and letters—are eligible. This includes phrases from favorite movies, poems, or books; letters of love or loss; journal musings; or words that changed history. An engaging title will be considered an integral part of your entry.

Entry fee is $35.00, with an additional $10.00 media fee. Submit 1-5 images of your work. Entries must be received by September 10, 2015 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Selected artists will be notified by September 26, 2015. Artwork must be received by October 29, 2015, ready to hang or display with D-rings (3"-4" from the top). Artists are responsible for shipping costs and must include a return shipping prepaid postage label. All artwork must remain on display during the entire show unless sold. Art on 30th retains 50% commission on any work sold.

Jury selection will be done by Erika Katayama from the Mengei Museum. Awards include: Best in Show ($100.00 + front cover placement on show catalog), First Place ($50.00 + back cover placement on show catalog), and Jurors Choice (first pages in show catalog). A print catalog will be available at the opening, with additional copies available print-on-demand.
