Juried Visual Art Exhibition of the Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival 2013

Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival, a division of The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, is pleased to announce the Juried Visual Art Exhibition. This juried exhibition will showcase the Pittsburgh region's vibrant creative community and take place in the Trust Arts Education Center 4th Floor Gallery during the 2013 Three Rivers Arts Festival, June 7-16, in downtown Pittsburgh.

Artists residing in the following counties are invited to submit their work: Pennsylvania (Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Cambria, Clarion, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Jefferson, Lawrence, Mercer, Somerset, Venango, Washington, and Westmoreland); Ohio (Columbiana, Jefferson, Mahoning, and Trumbull); West Virginia (Brooke, Hancock, Marshall, Monongalia, Marion, Ohio, Preston, and Wetzel); and Maryland (Garrett). All artists who contributed to a work must meet the residence requirement. Artists meeting the residence requirement may enter up to three qualifying individual pieces for jury. All work must be original, designed and created by the applicant(s), completed within the past year, and not previously exhibited. All work must be ready to hang or display and available for the full duration of the festival. Video and sound components must be intended for gallery display; documented performances are ineligible. Works will be juried by a panel of Pittsburgh-based artists and curators in an anonymous jury process based solely on aesthetic quality. The panel will select award winners: $2,500 Best in Show award and three $500 Juror's Choice awards. Awards will be announced during the opening reception on June 7, 2013. Jurors' decisions will be announced before March 30, 2013. All accepted artwork must be delivered and picked up at the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust's gallery at 805/807 Liberty Avenue. Installation pieces must be installed within a ten hour maximum time frame, scheduled by the Festival. Works selected for exhibition may be offered for sale at the artist's discretion; the Festival receives a 20% commission on all sales. A signed application is a commitment to show if your work is selected. Cancellations must be received in writing before April 30, 2013. Works selected for display may not be removed until the Festival's conclusion.
