Juried Fine Art Exhibition in Arts District on Santa Fe during Denver Arts Week

Gallery at Studio j, a contemporary art gallery located in the Arts District on Santa Fe, is hosting a juried fine art exhibition. The gallery is located at 742 Santa Fe Dr., Denver, CO 80204 and attracts over 1,000 people for First Friday Art Walks. The exhibition runs from November 4 to December 15, 2016.

Artists 18 years or older may submit up to three original works created within the last three years that have not been previously shown at Gallery at Studio j. Entry fee is $35 per submission. Two-dimensional work must be framed or gallery wrapped with secure wiring and should not exceed 3 feet on the long side. Three-dimensional work must sit solidly on a flat surface or be properly mounted, should not exceed 3 feet on the long side, and must not exceed 100 lbs. All entries must be transportable and displayable in a conventional gallery space. Works will be juried by Carlene Frances, a painter and drawer with a BFA from Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design whose work has exhibited nationally and internationally.

Awards include 1st Place ($250 and a month-long solo show at Gallery at Studio j in 2017), 2nd Place ($150), and 3rd Place ($100). All entries are available for sale with a 30% commission taken by the gallery. No "not for sale" or "price on request" pieces will be displayed. Accepted works should arrive between October 26 and November 2, 2016. The artist is responsible for all shipping costs. Results will be notified on October 26, 2016. Accepted entries may be picked up December 14-17, 2016. All work not picked up by January 7, 2017 becomes the property of Gallery at Studio j.
