About This Call
The Juliet Art Museum invites all undergraduate student artists graduating from schools in West Virginia to enter the Juliet Art Museum Juried Thesis Exhibition. This exhibit serves as an opportunity for graduating students to display their thesis work, given that so many students have missed their opportunity to exhibit due to COVID-19. The exhibit will highlight work from undergraduate programs across the state.
Work selected will be on display in the Juliet Art Museum from August 8th through November 29th, 2020. Jurors are Jessica O'Hearn, Artistic Director and Curator of the Juliet Art Museum, and Cara Taylor, Exhibits and Programming Coordinator.
The Juliet Art Museum resides in the Clay Center for Arts and Sciences in Charleston, WV, which also houses the Avampato Discovery Museum, Caperton Planetarium and Theater, and Maier Performance Hall. The museum hosts traveling exhibits from artists and museums nation-wide as well as exhibits featuring work from its permanent collection. The museum offers educational programs including public lectures, workshops, and classes.
Work sample requirements: up to 20 images, up to 6 audio files, up to 6 video files, with a minimum of 1 total sample and maximum of 20 total samples.
