About This Call
The 37th Annual Jubilee Festival of Arts in Daphne Alabama is set to attract thousands to the oak-lined Lott Park on October 18 & 19. Art, music & seafood meet southern charm at this annual festival set on the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay. This art-minded community pours into the streets to find the very best in jewelry, paintings, pottery, sculpture, wood, mixed media, functional & decorative items. The Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce hosts the Jubilee Festival of Arts each year to support tourism and the arts & spotlight the beauty and fun of Olde Towne Daphne.
The Festival is located in "Olde Towne" Daphne on Main Street, 5 miles south of Interstate 10. Festival hours are 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday, October 18 and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, October 19. Approximately 130 spaces will be available for the varied selection of fine art and craft exhibits, expected to attract more than 30,000 visitors. Accepted medium categories include Graphics & Drawing, Jewelry, Painting, Pottery, Sculpture, Functional Crafts, Decorative Crafts, Woodworking, Photography, and Mixed Media.
The charge for a single booth is $250.00 plus a $40.00 non-refundable jury fee. No commission is charged on sales. 13 cash awards will be judged and awarded on Saturday, October 18: Best of Show ($1,500), 2nd Place Overall ($750), 3rd Place Overall ($500), and Awards of Distinction (10) at $250 each, totaling $5,250 in cash awards. Selection notifications will begin by the beginning of August. Artists must exhibit both days of the festival and provide their own display booths, racks, tables and chairs. Tent weights are required and no on-site gas power generators are allowed.
