About This Call
JSP in 2D is a national juried photography competition featuring photos taken at Josephine Sculpture Park by visitors during its first 10 years (2009-2019). The competition is open to amateur and professional photographers. Winning photographs will be used to create a 10-year anniversary calendar sold to the public, with all proceeds benefiting JSP. All artists will be credited on the calendar and online.
A total of 12 photographs will be selected for the exhibition and calendar. Adults (age 18 and up) compete in three categories: People, Nature, and Sculptures/Artwork, with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards in each. Youth (under 18) compete in any category with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards. Winning photos will be exhibited during JSP's 10th annual Fall Arts Festival on September 8, 2019, where they may be for sale at the artist's discretion. Artists may also sell photos through the JSP website and agree to donate 30% of any sale during the festival or through the website back to JSP. JSP reserves the right to use photos in promotional materials with artist credit.
Photos must have been taken on Josephine Sculpture Park grounds between September 2009 and July 2019. Artists may submit up to 3 works (one image per application). Include with each image: title, date, category, and artist name and age. Artists are responsible for printing, framing, and shipping photos for exhibition delivery by September 1, 2019. Submissions are due by August 4, 2019, with winners notified by August 12.
