Joy!

The Fine Arts League of Cary invites member artists to submit work for the FALC Gallery Exhibition 2026, running March 5 – August 15, 2026. The exhibition theme is "Joy" – artists are encouraged to channel joy in all its forms into their creations. Artwork may range from very small to 40 x 40 inches and must be framed. Gallery-wrapped canvas pieces at least 1 ½ inches deep are also accepted unframed if edges are painted.

Member artists may submit up to four works. This is a curated exhibition and more than one piece may be accepted. Eligible artwork includes 2D media such as painting, photography, collaging, mixed media, pastel, and pen and ink. Artwork must be original work created within the past three years. 3D work, sculpture, crafts, and decorative arts are not eligible. Computer-generated work, AI-enhanced or AI-created art, and photoshopped imagery are prohibited. Photographs must be original work printed on photographic paper or canvas with only minor revisions allowed (burning, dodging, contrast adjustment). Digitally created images are acceptable only if entirely created by the artist using platforms like Procreate and printed and framed; such work must be identified as digital art.

Entry fee is $20 for up to 4 works for FALC members only. Artwork must be submitted via ShowSubmit portal as high-quality JPEG files at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge, with no visible matting, frames, or background. All accepted works must be available for the duration of the exhibition and must be for sale; the Fine Arts League of Cary receives a 25% commission on sales.
