Jordan River Art Walk

The Jordan River Art Walk is seeking sculptures for a three-year public art installation in East Jordan, Michigan. Accepted artists will receive a $600 stipend. If an artist chooses to offer their sculpture for sale, a 20% commission is paid to the committee. Sculptures will remain in place for the full three-year period (June 15, 2025 - May 15, 2028) or be replaced by the artist with another sculpture approved by the committee. Concrete pads will be provided to fit the works of art. Artists are responsible for transporting, installing, and de-installing their work.

Artists may submit up to three entries digitally by April 30, 2025 to the East Jordan Chamber of Commerce ([email protected]). Submissions should include 3-9 images and up to 3 videos, with multiple views of each entry permitted. A completed information sheet must accompany each submission, including title, artist statement, dimensions, base size requirement, materials, fabrication details, and price. Artists must provide contact information including mailing and email addresses, phone numbers, and website/resume if available. Artists will be notified of acceptance by May 14, 2025, with installations due by June 15, 2025.

A jury of local artists and citizens will select works based on artistic merit, safe design and construction, durability for outdoor four-season display, and compatibility with the East Jordan environment. Eligibility is open to any professional or student artist 18 years or older.
