JAMFest: Jacksonville Arts & Music Festival

Jacksonville State University invites artists and crafters to participate in the 1st Annual Jacksonville Arts and Music Festival on Saturday, May 20, 2017, from 9AM to 6PM. The festival is held in conjunction with the Cheaha Challenge, a cycling event expected to bring over 900 cyclists and their families to Jacksonville. Approximately 100 spaces are available for fine art and craft exhibits.

The entry deadline is March 31, 2017. Mailed applications must be postmarked by this date. Late applications will be considered if classification is not full, with approval of the jurying committee. The entry fee is $30.00. Applicants must submit 5-10 images representing their work and one photograph of their booth display. Selection is based on creativity, quality, and originality. Artists will be notified of results by the week following April 7, 2017.

Accepted work must be original, handcrafted pieces that comply with the festival's media definitions, which include 2D and 3D mixed media, ceramics, digital art, drawing, fiber, furniture, glass, jewelry, metalsmithing, packaged foods, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and wood. Commercially manufactured items are not acceptable. Artists must provide their own display booths, tables, and chairs, and are required to be present during festival hours. No rain date is scheduled. Booth spaces are 10'x10', and multiple spaces may be purchased by a single artist. No on-site gas powered generators or amplified music are permitted. Noncompliance with festival standards may result in elimination from this year's and future festivals without refund of fees.
