About This Call
This is a public art opportunity to design one large-format digital mural for the Jacksonville Jaguars Miller Electric Center. The mural will be printed on opaque vinyl and installed on 3 mural locations along the South Façade of the Fan Amenity Grandstands, viewable from the exterior only. Each mural location measures 12 feet high by 50 feet 9 inches wide and will be installed on flat architectural precast wall panels.
The selected artist will receive a $5,000 design honorarium, which covers all costs including artwork proposals, design, electronic submission, and travel. Artist services required include completing an RFQ response, proposal development, final design presentation, coordination with the project management team, and submission of print-ready digital files. The project timeline includes finalist notification by November 21-23, 2022, concept designs due January 20, 2023, final design due March 2, 2023, and site installation scheduled for May 15 - June 16, 2023, with a grand opening dedication ceremony planned for summer 2023.
Eligibility: Artists must be over 21 years old, not currently enrolled in a formal degree program, and have been creating and installing public art for more than three years. Applications must include an artist statement, current resumé, letter of interest, contact information for all team members, 3-7 images with descriptions of completed mural projects, and three professional references with contact information. Site visits for community engagement are offered but not mandatory, available in-person or virtually from December 1, 2022 - January 10, 2023.
