About This Call
IVICA SVETA announces the call for applications for the second season of its residency program, taking place from 10 to 25 October 2026.
The residency offers a space for uninterrupted artistic work, 65 km from Belgrade, in the quiet village of Samoš. Set on the grounds of a renovated old farm, the residency includes two houses, outbuildings, a courtyard, and a garden.
Focus of the residency: MATERIAL SYNTHESIS
An opportunity to experiment with the combination of ceramics, wood and metal, as well as with the integration of ceramics and XPS foam.
Workspace
A fully equipped 30 m² ceramics studio provides everything necessary for production: a 60-liter kiln, a potter’s wheel, and a complete set of tools. Additional facilities include a welding machine, woodworking tools, easels for painting and drawing, and a projector. A separate kiln room and a shower with restroom facilities are also available.
Accommodation
The residency provides a spacious house with 4 private bedrooms, a shared fully equipped kitchen, and a bathroom. Fresh bed linen and towels are supplied, and laundry facilities are available. Accommodation is self-catering. Wi-Fi is available.
Residency Fee: €40 per day
The fee includes:
Accommodation with access to all facilities.
Full use of the studio, with access to all tools and equipment.
Technical support in working with ceramics, wood, metal and XPS foam, including support in exploring how these materials can be combined and interact with one another.
Workshops: working with plastics and moulding; working with plaster; welding.
Assistance with purchasing necessary materials (transportation and advice).
Trips to Belgrade, Subotica, Novi Sad and other nearby towns (provided that at least 2 participants take part).
Transportation and assistance with grocery shopping.
