About This Call
"It's Ok, But It Ain't Right" explores the space between complacency and confrontation - the grey zones of acceptance, dysfunction, and dissonance. This exhibition seeks work that challenges what we tolerate, what we overlook, and what we know in our gut doesn't sit right — socially, politically, emotionally, or personally. Artists are invited to respond to this theme with interpretations that are raw, humorous, critical, or subtle. Whether it's a quiet resistance or a loud refusal, the exhibition welcomes work that speaks to the things we've come to accept but shouldn't.
Artists must be 18 years or older. Entries must be original and created entirely by the artist. No digital art, workshop/class art, or reproductions will be accepted. Only one painting per artist will be juried into the exhibition. Artwork size requirements: minimum 10 inches on any side, maximum 52 inches in either direction, maximum weight 40 pounds. Sculpture maximum height 30 inches or less, maximum weight 100 pounds. Submissions require 2-4 images. Entry fee is $40.00 with an additional $10.00 media fee.
Artists will be notified of acceptance on August 19, 2025. The exhibition opens to the public on August 27, 2025, with an opening reception for artists on August 30, 6-9 PM. The exhibition runs through September 27, 2025. Jury dates are August 16-18, 2026.
