It's All About Color

Open to all artists residing in New England. All 2D media accepted, including watercolor, gouache, acrylic, oils, ink, casein, and egg tempera. Unacceptable media include photography, 3D media, and reproductions. Any 2D surface is acceptable, including watercolor paper, Yupo and similar synthetic papers, paper coated with varnish or gesso, stretched canvas or canvas paper, rice paper, Duralar, illustration board, and wood.

Work must not have been exhibited in a previous Rhode Island Watercolor Society juried show and must have been completed within the last 10 years. Work may not be copied from copyrighted material and may not be partially or wholly painted by another artist. Work may have been done in a class or workshop, but only using reference material belonging to the sole artist. Work must be the same work represented by the submitted digital images, with no altered digital images permitted. There is no size limit for this show.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this show will take place online and will not be displayed physically in the gallery. Exhibition dates are May 23rd - June 26th. Framing is not necessary. Please do not ship pieces; pieces will be displayed online in digital format only. If a piece is purchased in the online gallery, 50% of shipping costs will be provided by the gallery. Entry fee is $20 for non-members and $15 for members. Additional entries are $15 each. Submissions require 1-3 digital images. If work is sold, the Rhode Island Watercolor Society will receive 35% of the sale.
