Issue 31 - Art

Zaum is a student-run print and web literary magazine out of the English Department at Sonoma State University, publishing dynamic and innovative works by emerging student writers from across the country and beyond. To submit you must currently be enrolled as a student at any educational institution or have graduated within the year. The Zaum 31 staff asks our submitters to choose originality. This means we discourage the use of AI in all forms whether it be generative or using proofreading tools. Allowing AI to take control of your work and your process can be disruptive and deteriorate your own skills that you would have otherwise exercised through your creative process. We encourage community in everything we do by collaborating with your peers by allowing them to proofread your work. This can not only build community but create valuable input that you may not have thought of previously! Submission must adhere to the following guidelines: Submit up to 5 artworks. We accept any medium that translates well to print or digital publication. We accept any and all content so long as it does not purport any homophobia, xenophobia, racism, sexism, transphobia, fatphobia, body shaming, and hatred of any nature.
