Irvine Annual

The juried Irvine Annual exhibition at Irvine Fine Arts Center showcases artworks from regional and national artists ages 18 and older working across multiple visual artistic mediums. Eligible media includes assemblage, ceramic, collage, drawing, fiber, metal, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, textile, video, and wood. All artworks must be wall-mounted, projected, or anchored, with a maximum size of 5 feet in height and 4 feet in length. Since 1983, this exhibition has surveyed contemporary California art, celebrating the artists, movements, and traditions of the region. Throughout the exhibition, arts discussions provide educational opportunities for the community.

Submissions are reviewed and selected by guest jurors who are established artists and arts leaders from museums, galleries, and academia. Monetary awards are given to outstanding entries: First Place $700, Second Place $500, Third Place $300, three Honorable Mentions at $200 each, and Viewer's Choice $200. The exhibition will be held at Irvine Fine Arts Center, 14321 Yale Avenue, Irvine, CA 92604, from July 12 to August 30. Artwork delivery is June 9-14, with pick-up September 8-13. Applicant notifications will be sent the week of May 26. Loan agreements for accepted artwork are due Friday, June 6.

Entry fee is $20 for one entry; each additional entry is $12, with a maximum of six entries per artist. Artists must submit 1-6 work samples (images and/or video). This exhibition is open to visual artists residing in Southern California and the continental United States, ages 18 and older. All entries must be original and not previously shown at Irvine Fine Arts Center. Irvine Fine Arts Center retains 25% commission on any work sold during the exhibition.
