About This Call

The International Photography Hall of Fame and Museum is hosting a juried international photography contest, now in its sixth decade. The contest is juried by Walter Iooss Jr., a renowned sports photographer and 2018 Hall of Fame inductee. Selected works will be featured in a special exhibition at the International Photography Hall of Fame and Museum in St. Louis, Missouri.

Two-dimensional photographic works in all subjects and disciplines are eligible. Submissions are open from August 1st through September 15th, 2022. Entry fees are $25 for IPHF members and $35 for non-members. Additional works can be submitted for $10 per sample, up to a maximum of ten works total. Artists must submit a minimum of 3 images. All work must have been created since January 2019 and must be original work that has never been exhibited before at IPHF. Artists must be 18 years or older; jurors, employees, and volunteers of the organization are not eligible.

Winners will be notified by email on November 3, 2022. Awards include First Place: $1,000, Second Place: $500, Third Place: $250, and Honorable Mention: $100. The exhibition opens December 7, 2022, with a reception on Tuesday, December 6th from 5-7pm. Images selected for exhibition will be printed by IPHF at a maximum size of 16x20" and will be destroyed after the exhibition ends. Submitted image files must be JPEG formatted in RGB color mode, approximately 1600 pixels on the longest side. Final files for selected works must be submitted in RGB mode at 300 dpi. No watermarks or signatures are allowed on submitted works.
