Introduction to Elements

Introduction to Elements is an exhibition running August 2-30, 2024 at Sedona Arts Center. Artists are invited to interpret the theme "Elements" in any way they choose, whether referencing the chemical elements, the classical four elements (earth, water, air, fire), diversity, sport, celebration, natural environments, or weather conditions. Artists must provide an explanation of their piece and how it connects to the Elements theme.

Emerging to professional artists, 18 years and older may apply. Artwork must have been created within the last 3 years and cannot have been previously displayed in any other Sedona Arts Center exhibition. The entry fee is $30. Artists may submit up to three images in JPEG format with a minimum resolution of 300 DPI. Images should include the artwork title in the file name, and artists must list the title, dimensions, medium, and price on the entry form. Submitted images must not include matting or framing and should be cropped to show only the artwork.

The submission deadline is July 5, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Notifications will be sent by July 11, 2024. Shipped work must be received by July 31, 2024, or hand-delivered by July 31, 2024. The opening reception is August 2, 2024 from 4-6 p.m. Awards include First Place/Best of Show ($500), Second Place ($250), and Third Place ($150), with Honorable Mention awards at the jurors' discretion and a People's Choice Award announced at the end of the show. Sales are split 60% artist/40% Sedona Arts Center.
