Into the Void; From the Void: Boundaries and Margins in Printmaking and Photography

Remarque Print Workshop & Gallery invites printmakers and photographers from around the world to submit work for the exhibition "Into the Void; From the Void: Boundaries and Margins in Printmaking and Photography," to be held at Remarque Print Workshop & Gallery in Albuquerque, NM from April 11–May 31, 2025.

This call seeks hand-printed imagery that combines photographic elements with printmaking techniques. Any photographic process (especially alternative techniques) combined with traditional printmaking is of interest; the final image must be a hand-pulled print with no solely digital output. The gallery is looking for images that explore the boundaries between photography and printmaking and involve hand-work, displaying technical sophistication while conveying emotional resonance.

Submissions must include 3 images for jurying. Maximum paper size is 16 x 20" or 20 x 16". The entry fee is $35 USD. Accepted works will be archivally matted and framed and displayed in the Remarque Gallery. Artists are responsible for all shipping costs and must provide pre-paid return shipping labels. Remarque will retain 50% of the retail price of sold works, with the artist receiving 50%. Payment will be made within thirty days of the end of the exhibition via check or PayPal. Jury results will be announced by February 24, 2025, and accepted works must arrive by March 19, 2025. By submitting, artists grant Remarque the right to use their images for marketing the exhibition with artist recognition provided.
