About This Call
All mediums are welcome. Artists may submit 1 work that has not been previously shown at Salmagundi. Outside dimensions of frame may not exceed 36". Sculptures should be no more than 30" high and no more than 40 lbs. All works must be professionally framed with wire for hanging, or if framing is not applicable, professionally presentable for gallery display with appropriate mounting. If displaying artwork under glass, plexi-glass must be used to avoid breakage. Accepted work will remain in place during the exhibition and cannot be removed until it ends.
Submit original, high-quality JPEG image files at least 1900 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Crop images to show only the artwork itself without matting, frames, or background. Ensure images are oriented correctly and use the sRGB color profile. Artists are responsible for submitting images with accurate representation of their unframed and framed work.
If accepted, artists may deliver work in-person during receiving days or ship with an expected arrival date of 1 week before the exhibition opens. A return shipping label must be included if the work is to be shipped back after the exhibition. Hangtags from the acceptance email must be printed, filled out legibly, and attached to each artwork before delivery. If the work is not for sale, write "NFS" on the hangtag. The club receives 30% of all sales, with 70% going to the artist. Contact Lou Lalli at [email protected] for questions about the prospectus, eligibility, artwork requirements, drop-off, pick-up, and sales.
