INTO THE LIGHT

Art Fluent invites artists worldwide to submit artwork to an online exhibit titled INTO THE LIGHT. The theme explores how light transforms art—illuminating, directing focus, crafting atmosphere, defining detail, and igniting emotion. Artists are invited to show light from their perspective.

Submissions must be received by Friday, January 10, 2025 at midnight MST. JPEGs should be properly cropped, in focus, in JPEG/JPG format, minimum 1,200 pixels on the longest side, and maximum 5 MB file size. Video submissions are also accepted (MOV, MP4, WMV formats; 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio; minimum 640x480 resolution, maximum 1920x1080; file size under 100 MB). Artists may submit up to 20 total works. Entry fee is $25 for the first entry and $10 for each additional entry. For 3D work, additional detail shots do not require additional fees; send these by email to [email protected]. Payment is non-refundable and does not guarantee acceptance.

Accepted pieces will be displayed in the online gallery at www.art-fluent.com. Awards include Best of Show ($750) and two Director's Choice awards ($250 each). The exhibit is curated and juried by Creative Director Amy Matteson Neill along with an anonymous committee of jurors. Notification of acceptance and online gallery opening will be by Friday, February 7, 2025. All sales inquiries are directed to the artist's website and contact information, with artists receiving 100% of sales. This call is open to amateur and professional artists worldwide. Work previously selected for Art Fluent exhibits is not eligible. Work copied or done under instructor guidance is not eligible. All fine art mediums are accepted (oil, acrylic, watermedia, pastel, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, photography, sculpture, fiber, wood, ceramics, film/video, digital art), except AI-generated work. Diptychs and triptychs should be uploaded as a single image.
