Intermedia Arts: Creative Community Leadership Institute

Intermedia Arts is seeking applicants for the 2015 Rapid City Creative Community Leadership Institute cohort. Applicants desired are innovators from all backgrounds including community developers, youth workers, board members, planners, community organizers, artists, educators, public safety workers, healthcare workers, and human services professionals. The program is open to individuals who live and/or work in Rapid City, or who consider Rapid City their community and where they want to make a difference.

The Creative Community Leadership Institute matches people who have a passion for change with the tools and experiences to advance their effectiveness by leveraging the power of arts and culture. The program consists of 3 three-day intensives from September through November 2015, totaling approximately 60 hours in sessions and 60 hours for individual and group assignments outside of sessions. Participants must be able to attend all program dates and commit to completing all individual and group assignments. Individuals selected for the program do not pay fees or tuition for participation.

Program timeline: Application deadline June 29, 2015; interviewees notified July 13, 2015; applicant interviews July 27-28, 2015; fellows notified August 3, 2015; Institute Session #1 September 17 & 19, 2015; Institute Session #2 October 15-17, 2015; Institute Session #3 November 19-21, 2015. All program activities take place in the Rapid City metro area at various case sites throughout the community. Work sample requirements: 0-10 images, 0-1 audio file, 0-1 video file, with a minimum of 1 and maximum of 10 total samples.
