Installation Nation 2015

Installation Nation is a 16-day exhibition presented by Primary Colours featuring site-specific art installations on the grounds of the Indianapolis Art Center's 9.5-acre ArtsPark. Artists and Artist Teams are invited to submit proposals at no cost. Primary Colours will select up to fifteen projects and award each a $1,000 stipend to create their work.

Installation Nation is open to individual artists or artist teams over age 18 residing in Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, and Kentucky. Selected artists must be available to install their work during the installation period of June 22-25, 2015. Entry is free and submissions are made exclusively through CaFE. Each artist must submit a current CV or resume (not exceeding 3 pages), a brief description of the proposed project, and up to six images for jurying (up to 3 images of past work and up to 3 images of the proposed project). Proposals will be judged based on originality, feasibility, execution, and innovation. All submitting artists will be notified of their status on February 6, 2015 via email.

Selected artists are responsible for all costs associated with fabrication, production, and transportation of their work. The $1,000 stipend will be split into two payments: $500 upon selection and $500 upon completion of the exhibit following successful de-install. All accepted work must remain on display through July 11, 2015. Artists may not make permanent damage to the ArtsPark grounds or existing structures; damage will be invoiced at replacement cost. After a proposal is selected, alterations or substitutions cannot be made without authorization by Primary Colours.
