Inspired By....Artists Celebrate Their Favorite Artists

The Village Theatre Art Gallery, a Town-owned and operated gallery located downtown within the historical Village Theatre in Danville, California (30 miles east of San Francisco), invites artists to submit original artwork inspired by another artist. The gallery features approximately 1,300 feet of exhibition space and maintains a steady stream of foot traffic.

The theme is "Inspired By.....Artists Celebrate Their Favorite Artists." The gallery asks artists to show which artists' works they find uplifting and inspiring, promoting fresh works that bring appreciation for all artists who inspire, whether living or from history. Artwork can be influenced by any aspect of another artist's work—subject matter, use of color, line and shape, negative space, or the mood and story conveyed through clay, paint, film, or other media.

Submissions must include 1-3 images and/or 0-2 videos (minimum 1 total sample required). Entry fee is $30.00. The entry deadline is February 19, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. MST. The exhibition runs from March 25 to May 28, 2021. Eligibility is national. Contact: [email protected]
