INSIGHT National Juried Exhibition

The Cape Cod Museum of Art invites all visual artists to submit their artwork to the annual National Juried Exhibition with the theme INSIGHT. The word can be broadly understood as "Insight, In Sight" and "Incite." Selected works will be exhibited in the Hope/McClennen exhibition hall and made available virtually on the Museum website.

Grace Hopkins, gallery director at Berta Walker Galleries in Provincetown and Wellfleet, MA, will serve as juror and select three works to receive awards: $500 for Juror's Choice, $200 for Most Fitting to the Theme, and $100 for Best Use of Material. Artwork selected for exhibition can be made available for sale, with 60% of proceeds going to the artist and 40% to the CCMoA.

The exhibition is open to artists 18 years and older working in 2D and 3D media, including drawing, painting, printing, photography, collage, assemblage, and sculpture. Only original works may be submitted; Giclee prints are not acceptable, but digital photography and digital print methods are acceptable. Entry fee is $25.00 for one submission and $10 per each additional submission, up to three total (non-refundable). Submissions must include one high-resolution digital image (1mb-5mb), title, year completed, medium, dimensions, and artist's statement (up to 100 words). Maximum size for 2D work is 48" x 48" including frame; all 2D artwork must be professionally framed with Plexiglas only (no glass). Maximum size for free-standing 3D work is 72"h x 36"w x 36"d; for pedestal 3D work is 38"h x 18"w x 18"d. All work must be labeled with artist's name, title, medium, date created, and insurance value. Final submission deadline is February 22, 2021. Notification of acceptance is February 26, 2021. All artwork must be received by March 15, 2021. Exhibition dates are March 18 - June 20, 2021.
