Innuendo: Suggestive Jewelry

Arcana Metalwork Gallery is seeking submissions of suggestive jewelry for the Innuendo exhibition. Artists are encouraged to use humor, double entendre, and creatively oblique references to sex and sexuality. Submissions may include any media, but must be in the format of jewelry. Entries will be considered on the merit of concept as well as execution of craftsmanship.

Artists may submit up to three works for consideration. A submission fee of $30 is required. All entries must be submitted by March 15, 2020 at 11:59 PM Mountain Time. Works must be on a typical jewelry scale with a maximum size of 12"x12"x12" and maximum weight of 15 lbs. Works valued over $5,000 cannot be accepted; overly-fragile or delicate works also cannot be accepted. Artists must submit a brief artist bio and statement about their submissions.

The exhibition runs April 24 through June 5, 2020 at Arcana Metalwork Gallery, located within '57 Biscayne Artist Studios in the historic Good Arts Building in downtown Pioneer Square, Seattle, WA. Works listed for sale will be sold at a 70/30 commission (artist retains 70%). Artists are responsible for delivery and return shipping of their artwork and assume all responsibility for insuring artwork against shipping damage or loss. The gallery will insure all artworks while on premises. Jury notification will be sent March 31. An artist contract will be sent upon acceptance and must be completed and included with work delivered to the gallery.
