Inner Sanctuaries - Exploring Domestic Spaces

Inner Sanctuaries is a juried exhibition held at Strata Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico, running from April 23 - May 10, 2024. The exhibition invites artists to explore the beauty, stories, and emotions within domestic spaces through painting, photography, sculpture, mixed media, and other mediums. Artists are encouraged to interpret home, personal spaces, and the dynamics within—from cozy corners and bustling kitchens to quiet reflections in living rooms.

Submit 3-6 images of artwork in .jpg format by February 1, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Entry fee is $35 for the first three submissions and $10 per additional submission, plus a $10 media fee. Notification of acceptance will be sent February 24, 2024. All artwork must be ready to hang/display with proper hardware. Wall-mounted work has a maximum size of 40x40 inches (12 inches deep for wall-mounted sculpture) and maximum weight of 25 lbs. Submitted work must remain available for the duration of the exhibition.

Prizes include $200 for Best of Show and $100 for Honorable Mention (2 awards). The exhibition is juried by Stephanie J. Woods, a multimedia artist and Assistant Professor of Interdisciplinary Art at the University of New Mexico. Selection criteria include compliance with submission requirements, uniqueness and originality, visual impact, and demonstrated excellence of technique. Strata Gallery is a non-profit, artist-member gallery located at 125 Lincoln Ave, Suite 105, Santa Fe, New Mexico 87501. Artists who sell work in the exhibition will be subject to a 20% commission due to Strata Gallery.
