Ink + Print: West Coast Juried Printmaking Exhibition

Ink + Print: West Coast Juried Printmaking Exhibition invites artists 18 years and older residing in Alaska, California, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington to submit up to three works in printmaking. The exhibition will be held at Coos Art Museum from December 14, 2018 to February 9, 2019.

Accepted printmaking methods include intaglio, relief, screen print (stencil), lithography, monotype, monoprint, and combinations of these methods. Original and copyright-free digital media may be utilized, but art must be hand-pulled and generated using at least one traditional printmaking method. Computer-generated art is eligible only when it incorporates traditional hand-pulled printing methods. Only limited edition, monotype, and monoprint fine art prints will be accepted. Drawings, photographs, and direct reproductions of drawings and paintings are not eligible. Prints must have been created within the last two years (2016-2018) and not previously exhibited at Coos Art Museum. Artwork must not exceed 48 inches in any direction and weigh no more than 40 pounds, including frame. All artwork must be framed and wired for hanging with no sawtooth hangers; framed work must use Plexiglas except for hand-delivered work smaller than 24" x 30".

Entry fees are $25 for the first submission, $10 for the second, and $10 for the third. Artists are responsible for all shipping costs. Works in the exhibition may be available for sale, with the artist agreeing to donate 30% of any sale to Coos Art Museum. Cash awards include 1st place $600, 2nd place $450, 3rd place $250, and four Honorable Mention awards at $100 each. Juror is Nicole Pietrantoni. Notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent by email on September 14, 2018. Artwork must be delivered or dropped off by December 8, 2018. Opening reception is December 14, 2018 from 5-7pm. Pickup dates are February 9, 2019 from 4-6pm and February 10, 2019 from 10am-noon.
