Ink Only IV

PaperWorkers Local (PWL), a 501(c)(3) non-profit artists' co-operative, announces a call for entry to Ink Only IV, their fourth biennial juried print exhibition of contemporary prints. The exhibition will be held at Birmingham Public Library's 4th Floor Gallery, September 16 – October 14, 2023, with an opening reception and award presentation on September 16.

Eligibility is open to all artists/printmakers ages 18 and older living in the USA. The call accepts all forms of printmaking including traditional and experimental techniques, with the exception of prints created exclusively by digital means. All entries should have been created in the last 3 years. Submissions must be made through CallForEntry.org. A $35.00 non-refundable entry fee allows 1-3 images for submission. Up to 3 additional images may be submitted for $10 each. If entering only 1 or 2 images, those images must be repeated to total 3. A 20% commission will be withheld by PWL for any work sold.

Juror Daniel White, Director of the Paul R. Jones Museum and Gallery Director of the University of Alabama Gallery, will select works for the exhibition. Prizes include: 1st Place - $500 and a solo exhibition at PWL within the next 2 years; 2nd Place - $300; 3rd Place - $200; and a new award for the best Alabama print submission - $400. Notifications will be emailed August 11, 2023. All work must be suitably framed with acrylic/plexi (no glass), with wire or d-rings for hanging (no sawtooth hangers). Work sent must match work entered. Artists are responsible for providing insurance during shipping and exhibition. PaperWorkers Local and Birmingham Public Library accept no responsibility for work.
