Ink Only III

PaperWorkers Local (PWL), a 501(c)(3) non-profit artists' co-operative, announces a call for entry to Ink Only III, their third biennial juried print exhibition of contemporary prints. The exhibition will be held at Durbin Gallery at Birmingham Southern College, Department of Art and Art History, from September 1–23, 2021.

This call is open to all artists and printmakers ages 18 and older living in the USA. All forms of printmaking are eligible, including traditional and experimental techniques, with the exception of prints created exclusively by digital means. All entries must have been created within the last 3 years. A $35.00 non-refundable entry fee allows submission of 3 images. Up to 2 additional images may be submitted for a $10.00 fee each. Submissions must be made through Cafe.org. Liz Chalfin, director of Zea Mays Printmaking, will serve as juror.

Prizes include: 1st Place - $500 and a solo exhibition at PWL within the next 2 years; 2nd Place - $250; 3rd Place - $125. Notifications will be emailed August 1, 2021. Shipping arrivals are August 20–24, 2021, with the opening reception and award presentation on September 1, 2021. Work may be priced for sale or marked NFS. PWL will retain a 20% commission on all works sold. All work must be suitably framed with acrylic or plexi (no glass). Frames must have wire or d-rings; sawtooth hangers are not accepted. All work must hang for the duration of the exhibition and must match the work entered. Artists are responsible for providing insurance for work during shipping and exhibition if desired.
