PaperWorkers Local (PWL), a 501(c)(3) non-profit artists' co-operative, announces a call for entry to their biennial juried exhibition of contemporary prints. The exhibition will be held at the 4th Floor Gallery of Birmingham Public Library from August 16 – September 13, 2025. The juror is Cynthia Nourse Thompson, Professor and Director of Curatorial Affairs at the Zuckerman Museum of Art at Kennesaw State University.

This call is open to all artists and printmakers ages 18 and older living in the USA. All forms of printmaking are eligible, including traditional and experimental techniques, with the exception of prints created exclusively by digital means. All entries must have been created within the last 3 years. Entry fee is $35.00 for 3 images; additional images may be submitted for $10.00 each (up to 6 images total). A 20% commission will be withheld by PWL for any work sold.

Prizes include: 1st Place - $500 and a solo exhibition at PWL within the next 2 years; 2nd Place - $300; 3rd Place - $200. Deadline for entries through CaFE is July 6, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Notifications will be emailed July 20, 2025. All work must be suitably framed with acrylic or plexi (no glass). Wire or d-rings are required for hanging; sawtooth hangers are not accepted.
