About This Call

Site:Brooklyn is seeking work for its upcoming printmaking exhibition, Ink: New Prints, running January 31–February 29, 2020. The gallery is looking for a wide variety of contemporary printmaking work, including serigraphy, letterpress, calligraphy, etching, woodcut, lithography, linocut, drypoint, mezzotint, mono-print, solar plates, and book-making. Digital and photographic elements may be used only as supporting elements. The exhibition is juried by Laura G. Einstein, Manager of the Mezzanine Gallery at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, with over thirty years of experience in curating and museum work.

This juried exhibition is open to all artists 18 years of age or older. Only original works may be submitted. The entry fee is $37.00 for up to three images, with a $10 media fee for each additional image (up to 12 total images). All entries must be received by December 9, 2019 at 11:59 PM MT. Artists will be notified on December 18, 2019. The opening reception is Friday, January 31, 2020 from 6-9 PM.

All artwork must be suitably framed to professional standards using Plexiglas (except hand-delivered work less than 24" x 30"). Maximum size is 72" X 60" X 6" D. Work must be wired or have a cleat attachment and ready for hanging. A label must be affixed to the back indicating artist name, title, medium, dimensions, and price. All artwork must be priced for sale. Site:Brooklyn retains a 50% commission on all exhibition sales. Artists are responsible for delivery and return shipping and must provide their own insurance. Work cannot be withdrawn or sales shipped before the end of the exhibit.
