Inglewood Open Studios 2018

Inglewood Open Studios (IOS) is a 2-day art tour in its 12th year, free to the public. The event invites visitors to discover Inglewood's vibrant local art scene with workshops for kids, performances, music, and food across the city at private art studios, art galleries, and other spaces within Inglewood. A group show of participants' work with an artist reception will be hosted at Residency Gallery in downtown Inglewood, with opening reception details to be announced.

Applicants must be artists or art organizations with either an art studio or art exhibition space within Inglewood City limits. Artists must keep their space open from 12-5pm both days and are encouraged to be present at their space to talk to visitors. When applying, include apartment or studio number with your address if your space is part of a larger complex. If you plan to host other artists at your space, provide their names and have each artist register separately and pay the participation fee.

Participation fees are $50 for individual artists and $100 for art galleries. Art organizations should contact [email protected] for pricing. Payment is due by August 10 and can be made by check or PayPal to South Bay Contemporary. Applications without payment by the deadline will not be accepted. Participating artists, galleries, and organizations are encouraged to host unique events during the tour weekend and may provide a brief event description in their application for review. No commission will be taken by IOS organizers or South Bay Contemporary on sales made during the event. Public transportation and street signage will be provided by The City of Inglewood.
