Influences 2

HMVC Gallery presents Influences 2, a group exhibition inviting artists to share artworks that reflect the subjects that have influenced them and their art. This showcase returns following its initial presentation in Autumn 2023.

The exhibition welcomes artworks from all mediums of visual art, except AI-created art and video/film. Artists may submit up to 20 artworks for juror consideration; one artwork from each selected artist will be included in the final group show. High-quality images of artwork, an Artist Bio, and an Artist Statement are required. Submissions will be judged by jurors Heini Mika and Vincent Chang. Digital entries must be received by February 25th, 2026 before 11:59 pm EST. Notification of acceptance will be sent by email by February 28th. The show will run from March 1 through 31, 2026.

All participating artists will be featured on the gallery's website and virtual gallery and will receive an HMVC Gallery New York certificate of participation. A video clip featuring all participating artists' artworks will be screened on a jumbotron billboard in Times Square in March. Cash prizes include: Best of Show ($150), Second Place ($100), and a Blick Art Materials digital coupon ($100). The Third Place winner receives an online solo show at HMVC Gallery New York running for one month, plus a solo certificate. Winners of cash prizes must have a working PayPal account; prizes will be sent within 14 days of response. Image requirements: JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, SVG, or WEBP format; minimum 1200 pixels or maximum 2560 pixels on the longest side; under 2 MB file size. Entry fee: $40.00; additional media fee: $10.00.
