Indoor DownEast Sculpture Exhibition 2025

The DownEast National Juried Sculpture Exhibition is located in Pitt County, North Carolina, and features a month-long indoor exhibition and a year-long outdoor exhibition. The indoor exhibition runs March 7-27, 2025.

This exhibition is open to all artists ages 18 and up working in any three-dimensional media. Indoor submissions must fit through a standard sized door (36"x80") and be ready for display. Artists may submit up to 6 entries, with the first entry costing $15 and each additional entry costing $5. All entries must be submitted digitally via CaFÉ by 11:59 PM MST on January 15, 2025. Work submitted above the gallery's insurance value may not be accepted. All work must be able to be exhibited for the full length of the exhibition.

Accepted indoor work must be hand delivered or received by Thursday, February 27, 2025, between 10:00 AM–8:00 PM at Emerge Gallery, 404 Evans Street, Greenville, NC 27858. Shipped work must include a prepaid mailing label for return and be received by Wednesday, February 26, 2025. Accepted work must be picked up on Friday, March 28 or Saturday, March 29, during open hours. Work left after the exhibition becomes the property of Emerge Gallery. Shipped work will be returned starting April 1, 2025. Emerge Gallery will provide insurance for accepted indoor work from drop-off through March 29, 2025, covering 70% of the sales price with a maximum of $5,000. The gallery retains a 30% commission on sales. Indoor sculpture prizes are: 1st Place $500, 2nd Place $250, 3rd Place $100. Juror is Jessica Bradsher, a visual artist specializing in metal sculpture and painting who earned her MFA from East Carolina University in 2018.
