About This Call

The Director and Chief Curator of Public Art serves as the lead for the Indianapolis Cultural Trail’s public art program and is responsible for the strategy, curation, operations, and implementation of all public art initiatives. The Director of Public Art will lead the strategic planning, development, and management of public art projects along the Indianapolis Cultural Trail. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the entire existing public art collection and all future programming, from concept development and artist selection to installation and maintenance. The Director of Public Art will collaborate with artists, government agencies, private sector and non-profit partners to create an inclusive and dynamic public art experience that represents the diverse cultural heritage of Indianapolis.
