Indiana University Kokomo Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit 2023-2025

Indiana University Kokomo invites sculptors to participate in a juried, on-loan outdoor sculpture exhibit on the Kokomo campus. Selected artists will enter into an Art Loan Agreement with IU Kokomo and receive an honorarium of $2,000 per piece. The third installment of this exhibit will run from July 2023 through July 2025.

Artists may submit up to three sculptures for consideration. Each submission must include a bio/resume describing exhibition history, three images of the work (front, back, and one detail), dimensions (HxWxD), and stated insurance value. Sculptures must fit on 8' x 8' cement pads and use welded tabs or similar easy-install methods. Artwork must be durable, constructed to withstand year-round Indiana weather, and cannot be fragile or dangerous. Artists must own the rights to the artwork and make it available for the full two-year exhibition period.

Deadline for submissions is May 1, 2023. The jury will notify selected artists by May 8, 2023. Delivery and installation will occur between July and mid-August 2023. Selected artists are responsible for transportation to and from the installation site; the university will supervise installation and insure the artwork for the duration of the exhibit. Sculptures must be removed within one month prior to the exhibit's closing in August 2025.
