About This Call
Indiana University Kokomo invites sculptors to participate in a juried, on-loan outdoor sculpture exhibit on the Kokomo campus. Selected artists will enter into an Art Loan Agreement with IU Kokomo and receive an honorarium of $2,000 per piece. The exhibition will run from July 2021 through July 2023, with sculptures displayed on rotating basis on installed sculpture pads.
Eligibility: Artists must own the rights to their artwork and have it available for the full two-year exhibition period. Sculptures must be ready to set on 8' x 8' cement pads using welded tabs or similar easy-install methods. Artwork must be constructed of durable materials to withstand year-round Indiana weather. Fragile or dangerous works will not be accepted. Artists may submit up to two sculptures; each submission is considered separately. Selected artists are responsible for transportation to and from the installation site. The university will supervise installation and insure the artwork for the duration of the exhibit.
Submission deadline: June 20, 2021. Jury selections will be announced by July 1, 2021. Delivery and installation will occur between July and mid-August 2021. Each submission must include: artist bio/resume, three images (front, back, and detail), dimensions (HxWxD), and stated insurance value.
