Indiana Now 2023

Indiana Now 2023 is a triennial exhibition for Indiana artists presented by the Art Museum of Greater Lafayette. Since its inception in 1979, this prestigious juried exhibition features the work of contemporary Indiana artists. The exhibition will be on display from May 5 through August 6, 2023, at the Art Museum of Greater Lafayette, located at 102 South 10th Street, Lafayette, Indiana.

Eligibility requires one year of residency in Indiana at any time during the life of the artist, and artists must be 18 years or older. Submissions must have been created during the prior three years. Two-dimensional, three-dimensional, and video works are accepted, including photography, printmaking, painting, drawing, fibers, ceramic, jewelry, glass, sculpture, film, animation, or mixed media. All work must be the artist's original design and creation. Two-dimensional works have a maximum size of 60" x 60"; three-dimensional works must not exceed 40" x 40" x 40" and weigh no more than 50 lbs; video works must not run longer than 5 minutes.

Total cash awards are $2,100, including $1,000 for Best of Show, $500 for First Place, $300 for Second Place, and $100 each for three Honorable Mention awards. An exhibition catalog will be produced, and each artist will receive a limited number of copies. The Art Museum will solicit Purchase Awards from the community, and the Permanent Collection Committee will preview the exhibition for possible purchase consideration. Jurors' selections are based on creativity, quality of artistry, and originality. Notification of jury decisions will be sent on or before April 5, with awards announced at the opening reception on May 5, 2023. All works must be for sale; the Art Museum will retain a 30% commission on all sales. Artists are responsible for round-trip shipping and insurance during shipping. Work can be delivered in person on April 22, 23, or 24 between 11 am - 4 pm, or shipped to arrive by 5 pm on April 24. Artists must pick up all entries after the exhibition on August 7, 8, or 9 between 11 am - 4 pm.
