About This Call

Indiana Now 2016: The Bicentennial is a juried, fine art exhibition for Indiana professional artists presented by the Art Museum of Greater Lafayette, sponsored by The Henriott Group and Edward Jones Associates of Lafayette. The exhibition will be on display from May 13 through August 31, 2016. Since its inception in 1979, this has become a prestigious show featuring the work of contemporary Indiana professional artists.

Eligibility requires one year residency in Indiana anytime during the life of the artist, and the artist must be 18 years or older. Artwork must have been created since January 1, 2014. Both 2D and 3D works are accepted, including photography, printmaking, painting, drawing, mixed media, fiber art, clay, jewelry, glass, and sculpture. Video, installation, and giclee works will not be accepted. All work must be the artist's original design and creation.

The entry fee is $35 for up to 3 entries. Digital images and online payment must be received by midnight April 13, 2016. Work sample requirements: minimum 1, maximum 3 images. Selected artwork must be delivered to the Art Museum between May 5-7, 11 am - 4 pm. The juror will select award winners from actual artwork on May 12, with a reception and award announcements on May 13. Total awards value $2,100, including $1,000 for Best of Show, $500 for First Place, $300 for Second Place, and $100 each for three Honorable Mentions. The Art Museum of Greater Lafayette may also choose to purchase entries for the Permanent Collection. All artwork must be for sale and reasonably priced; the Art Museum will retain a 30% commission on all sales. Artists are responsible for round-trip shipping and insurance of artworks. All entries must be picked up by 5 pm on September 6, 2016, or will become the property of the Art Museum.
