In the Urban Landscape – A Photography Exhibition

The Curtis Center for the Arts invites photographers to submit work for an upcoming exhibition as part of the 2025 Month of Photography. This juried show will explore the dynamic world of the urban landscape, capturing the essence of city life through architecture, street scenes, and abstract interpretations of urban environments. The exhibition welcomes submissions from photographers of all levels, working in a variety of styles.

Eligibility is open to all artists in Colorado. Up to 2 pieces may be submitted for consideration. Original photography works must have been captured by the submitting artist, be of original design and personal execution, completed within the last two years, and not previously shown at the Curtis Center for the Arts. Physical prints on traditional silver or alternative chemical processes paper or digital prints on canvas, metal, framed or stretched canvas will be accepted. Work must be ready to hang with a wire on the back (no saw tooth hangers) and have a framed size limit of 24"x36". Frame size and actual image size must be stated for each entry.

Submission deadline is January 31, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Entry fee is $15.00. Artists will be notified of acceptance by February 10, 2025. Physical artwork must be delivered to the Curtis Center (2349 East Orchard) between 9 a.m.–3 p.m. on March 4. The exhibition runs March 8–29, 2025, with an opening reception on March 8 from 6–8 p.m. Work pickup is March 31 from 9 a.m.–3 p.m. $500 in juror's awards will be granted. Work must be available for sale; the City of Greenwood Village will retain a 30% commission on sales, with proceeds benefiting the Greenwood Village Arts and Humanities Council.
