In the Neighborhood, Orange County Creatives

Orange County Creatives Gallery invites artists to submit work for "In the Neighborhood," an exhibition in partnership with Friendly Center in Orange County, CA. Established over 90 years ago, Friendly Center serves families in Orange County through emergency assistance, tutoring, adult education classes, counseling services, and job development assistance. A portion of the proceeds from this show will be donated to Friendly Center.

For this exhibition, artists are invited to explore what they love about their neighborhood. What do neighborhoods need? What makes a neighborhood thrive? Artists may use any medium of their choice to convey the feeling of the specialness of their neighborhood. The exhibition is open to all 2-dimensional art forms including painting, drawing, illustration, mixed media, and photography. All artwork must be original; reproductions will not be considered. All art must be wired for hanging. Unframed canvases must be gallery wrapped and wired. All frames must be well constructed and wired for hanging. Artwork not properly wired for hanging cannot be displayed. Please keep artwork under 40" on the longest side.

Accepted work will be on display June 1-23, 2015, with an opening reception June 4, 6-9pm. Orange County Creatives Gallery is located in Laguna Beach, a premier art community. The gallery accepts work from early-career artists, students, amateurs, and established artists from around the world. Entry fee is $35.00 plus a $5.00 media fee. Submit 1-5 images. Entry deadline is May 12, 2015 at 11:59 p.m. MDT.
