In The Abstract 2023

SFVACC (Southern California Open Regional Exhibitions) invites artists and designers to enter a juried virtual exhibition of abstract art. The organization seeks artists who can provide a well-rounded range of 2D and 3D abstract work. All submitted art will be juried using digital images (.JPGs) through CaFÉ, with video of art optionally accompanying submissions.

Eligibility is open to all artists residing in North America. Submissions are limited to six original artworks per artist as .JPGs in all media except video. Work must have been created within the last three years and cannot have been shown at any previous SFVACC/SCORE exhibit. Entry fee is $35 for one artwork, with up to five additional entries at $5 each. High-resolution digital .JPEGs (1-5MB) are required, cropped to remove background or presented with a neutral background.

The exhibit runs March 1-31, 2023, with a virtual artists' reception on March 4, 2023 from 5:00-7:00 pm PST. Awards include Best of Show ($800), 1st Place ($400), 2nd Place ($300), and up to four Honorable Mentions. Juror is James Panozzo, Founder/Executive Director of LAUNCH LA. Acceptance notifications will be sent by February 12, 2023, and award winners notified by February 13, 2023. The exhibit will remain on view on the SFVACC website Archived Exhibits page indefinitely. All sales are handled directly between artist and buyer with no commission to SFVACC.
