In The Abstract 2022

SFVACC (Southern California Open Regional Exhibitions) invites artists and designers worldwide to enter a juried virtual exhibition of abstract art. The organization seeks artists who can provide a well-rounded range of 2D and 3D abstract work. All submitted art will be juried using digital images (.JPGs) through CaFÉ, with video of art optionally accompanying submissions.

Artists may submit up to six original artworks per entry. Submissions must be high-resolution .JPEG files (1-5MB), cropped to remove background or presented with a neutral background. Work must have been created within the last three years and cannot have been shown at any previous SFVACC/SCORE exhibit. Entry fees are $35 for the first submission plus $5 for each additional entry (up to 5 more). Fees are non-refundable, and there is no guarantee of acceptance.

The juror is Robert Burridge, an award-winning industrial designer and painter. Awards include Best of Show ($800), 1st Place ($400), 2nd Place ($300), and up to four Honorable Mentions. Entry deadline is February 3, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Acceptance notifications will be sent by February 11-13, 2022, and award winners will be notified by February 15, 2022. The exhibit opens March 1, 2022, with a virtual artists' reception on March 5, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. PST, and closes March 31, 2022. The exhibit will remain archived on the SFVACC website indefinitely. All sales are handled directly between artist and buyer with no commission to SFVACC.
